Fully funded graduate programs are master's and doctoral programs that provide a full funding package to all admitted students. The package includes a full tuition scholarship and an annual stipend (typically $15K - $45K) for the duration of your enrollment. (In other words, the university is paying YOU to attend!) Fully funded graduate programs are almost always for full-time, on-campus students. The funding typically comes in the form of a Graduate Assistantship, which is a part-time job with the university that provides a salary (called a stipend) and the benefit of free tuition. Funding packages may also include health insurance, housing, childcare subsidies and other benefits. There are fully funded graduate programs in the U.S. and abroad.

ESSENTIAL and PLUS members receive access to twice-monthly group "Office Hours" in Zoom with the Fully Funded coaches. In these events, you can ask questions and receive mentorship as you prepare your applications. Office Hours events are 90 minutes and are broken into 2 sessions: one for Master's applicants and one for Doctorate applicants. In 2024, Office Hours will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 3pm Eastern (U.S.) and the fourth Friday of the month at 12:30pm Eastern (U.S.). Even if you can't attend a live session, you can submit questions in advance which will be answered by the coaches during Office Hours. Members receive a video replay and transcript of each Office Hours event. 

The Fully Funded Course was created by multi-fellowship winner and ProFellow Founder Dr. Vicki Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Cornell University (BA) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc). The guidance provided in the course is universal to any type of application that requires components like a personal statement, research or project proposal, a resume or CV, optional essays, writing samples, and an interview. Several Fully Funded Course students have won nationally competitive fellowships such as the Fulbright US Student Award, the Thomas R. Pickering Fellowship, the Foreign Affairs IT Fellowship, the Urban Leaders Fellowship and more. 

This course advises candidates who are applying to master's and doctoral programs in the U.S., Canada, and UK/Aus/NZ that are delivered in English, which require advanced fluency in English. There are no prerequisites to participate in the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program, but note that master’s and doctoral programs require an eligible undergraduate or Bachelor's degree to enroll, and for some doctoral programs, a master’s may be required. Depending on the universities you apply to, you may also need to take an entrance exam, like the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). If you are a foreign student coming to the U.S., you will need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or a similar English test. (Please note that the Fully Funded Course does not provide guidance on these admissions tests.)

These strategies are applicable to all disciplines of graduate study. 

Yes, if you have advanced fluency in English and are eligible to undertake graduate study in the U.S. and Canada. Please note that foreign applicants are typically expected to score high on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and must have their undergraduate degrees evaluated by a qualified third party for admissions eligibility. There are also other unmet costs to studying abroad, including application fees, visas, travel and relocation expenses. We recommend that you look into these eligibility requirements and additional costs before enrolling in the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program. 

Several Fully Funded Course students have successfully applied to English-based master's and doctorate programs in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. However, the Fully Funded Course encourages members to find and apply to graduate programs in the US and Canada that guarantee full funding to all incoming students. Full funding opportunities for international student study in Europe and Australasia are limited and difficult to find. In many cases, the only funding support available is through the achievement of a nationally competitive fellowship like the Fulbright U.S. Student award. If you are an American who wishes to apply to programs in Europe and Australasia, this program provides expert guidance and support on the Fulbright and other international fellowships for Americans.

The ENTRY online course for explorers (3 Modules) is self-paced and takes on average 3 weeks to complete, but the prescribed exercises to research graduate schools and funding options can take 6-12 weeks. You can upgrade at any time to an ESSENTIAL or PLUS membership and apply your ENTRY purchase. We recommend upgrading your membership to start the application process by May 2024 to prepare for December 2024 deadlines. 

The ESSENTIAL online courses for Master's Applicants and Doctorate Applicants is self-paced and takes on average 12-16 weeks to complete, but the prescribed exercises to research best fit graduate schools and funding, and prepare tailored applications takes a minimum of 4 months of dedicated effort to be successful. The ESSENTIAL course will walk you through every step in the graduate school application process so you are never unsure about what to do next. We strongly recommend getting started by May 2024 to prepare for December 2024 deadlines. 

All 2024 Fully Funded Course ENTRY, ESSENTIAL and PLUS members will have access to your online course, associated live support and benefits from February 1, 2024 through April 15, 2025, which is the US national deadline for accepting a graduate school offer. 

The ESSENTIAL Master's course provides 12 modules applicable to Master's and law school applications. The ESSENTIAL Doctorate course includes 15 modules with additional guidance on 1) PhD faculty outreach, 2) preparing a statement of purpose (also known as a research dissertation proposal) and 3) preparing for interviews.

Both ESSENTIAL memberships provide access to twice-monthly "Office Hours" events and preferential pricing for 1:1 advising sessions. 

No. But the good news is, many universities in the United States that once required the GRE no longer require it, and you can seek out these programs if you choose.

We recommend purchasing ESSENTIAL for Master's applicants if you are pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD). The ESSENTIAL for Doctorate applicants provides additional guidance on faculty outreach and research dissertation proposals which is not applicable to law school applicants. 

While the Fully Funded Course can provide you expert guidance on researching schools, preparing personal statements and preparing for interviews, among other common steps for all master's and doctorate applicants, this program was NOT developed for medical school applicants and does not provide all the necessary guidance to apply to medical school successfully. At the moment, we do not offer scholarships to participate in the Fully Funded Course. We offer this program at-cost. However, some resourceful participants have been able to use professional development grants offered by their university or employer to cover or subsidize the cost of participating in the program.
